Manifesting is definitely not a set it and forget it type of practice. It takes a lot more work and dedication than most people think. Not only do you have to pinpoint what you want from life, you have to build up a strong enough mindset to truly believe in your manifestations 100%.
If you don't believe in yourself, why should the universe believe in you?
I've explained manifesting in a couple of posts, which you can find here and here. But I'll give you a brief overview of what manifestations are.
Manifesting is pinpointing what you want and attracting it into your life. Like attracts like, so you're basically using a spiritual magnet in your mind to bring exactly what it is that you want to you. This takes a lot of dedication and trust in yourself and the universe.
Now that you understand manifesting, I'm going to tell you the 4 most simple steps to attracting whatever it is that you want into your life.
Come up with what it is that you want. Money? Love? Happiness? A new job? Maybe you want a combination of some of these things. Discover what it is that makes your heart smile and your brain run wild.
If you don't know what you want, the universe won't either. It isn't a mind reader! Make a map of what your dream life would look like and build up from there.
ACTIVITY: Draw a picture of your life exactly the way that you want it to look. A spouse, a job, kids, cars, homes, money, travel. Make this drawing your life and just surrender to the flow. Don't feel ashamed or embarrassed. This is your life. Draw it the way that you always imagined it would look.
Make a vision board. Save images to your computer or as your wallpaper on your phone. Write a letter to the universe. Do something that allows you to see your dreams consistently. Hold these images or words close to your heart and look at them as often as you can.
You need to remind yourself and the universe exactly what you're after.
ACTIVITY: Make an "on the go" vision board. Cut out images and phrases that are along the lines of the life you want to create. Glue them in a small journal - one that you can throw in your purse or your car. Something small enough for it to be portable and always have with you. Google and Pinterest are your best friends here! Make it fun, unique and totally you. (Post about Portable Vision Boards coming VERY soon!)
Self explanatory, right? This is actually the hardest step in the manifestation process. You know what you want, you have these pictures, but now what? You need to believe in your heart that you deserve these things and are ready to receive these things.
Don't get cocky or greedy. Always come from a place of gratitude when it comes to manifesting. Find a balance between knowing your worth and being grateful for what you already have.
When you're looking at these words or pictures, imagine your life as if you already have them. Don't think of this as a "I hope to have that one day" type of situation. Feel the feelings that you would have if you already had your dream life. Feel that happiness and that warmth inside of your heart.
It will happen one day, as long as you believe it enough!
ACTIVITY: Manifestation and meditation go hand in hand. They're BFF's if you will. Clearing your head with a good meditation session gives you a straight path to believing in your manifestations. When your mind is less cluttered with the crap, you can focus more on the good stuff. (Like how AWESOME your life is going to be once you start believing in yourself!)
Things normally won't change over night. Some people do see a quick shift, but it doesn't happen for everyone. A strong belief system and a clear vision of what you want will give you the life that you dream of. Once you've dreamed it, seen it and believed it, all that's left to do is live it.
Appreciate life for all that it is and remember to always be grateful for what you have at any given moment. You created this life for yourself. If you're ready for change or expansion, it's only a strong belief system away.
ACTIVITY: Consistently write down what you're grateful for. I said at the beginning of this post that manifesting is a practice that works best with gratitude. When you're aware of all of the amazing things that you already have, the universe is more likely to work in your favor when you ask for a little more!
In life we have very little control. Lucky for us, we actually do have control over one of the most powerful forces - our minds. You control your thoughts. Because of this you also can play a huge role in how your life turns out. Obviously shit happens! And we don't always get things to go the way that we "planned" or hoped for. But if you have enough faith in your mind and enough power behind your beliefs, you can manifest some seriously cool things!
Don't limit yourself or second guess your power. You are incredible. You are powerful. You are in control of your life. Believe in yourself always and be easy on yourself when times get tough. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was Beyonce! (If you've seen that reference on Pinterest you're secretly laughing with me right now lol)
