July was *overall* a really good month for me! Some goals were not completely met, but that's life! Things don't always go as planned and that was a huge life lesson this month. It's so important to be kind to yourself and take life as it comes.
Don't look at your unmet goals as failure. Look at them as opportunities that will get crushed next time around.
Grow my Pinterest following to 200 friends.
Didn't quite get there, but I did gain a whole lot of new friends! This one I'll have to keep working at. But it did make me realize how important it is to not focus on numbers. Growth happens naturally and numbers cannot define you!

Gain 15 new newsletter subscribers.
Nailed it! I know I said numbers aren't important and shouldn't define your happiness, but it makes me really happy that people are actually enjoying the content that I'm putting out there! I can also tell now what topics people prefer, which is pretty awesome.
Meet new blogger friends.
This one I could've done better, but I'm pretty happy with. I've been interacting with more fellow bloggers lately. It's really an awesome community to be in!
Create an awesome cheatsheet or course.
I created something that wasn't even a part of my original plan this month, score! I built the "Dear Universe..." printable/worksheet to help you all be more clear on what it is that you're needing from the universe. What better way than to write a letter directly to it?
Read/listen to a new book.
I actually did read a new book this month and freaking LOVED it. It's called Be a Free Range Human by Marianne Cantwell. It was such an inspiring book and I plan on doing a full review of it very soon. :)
I'm usually sitting in traffic on my way home from my 9 to 5, so the most efficient way for me to absorb books is through Audible. (Which you can try out too by clicking here!) I have downloaded so many books through that site, it's insane. When you sign up for Audible your first month is completely free. After that, $14.95 a month gets you one credit towards a book. If one book just isn't enough, they will give you 30% off any other purchase for that month.
So I definitely meditated more than I have been. And I've been attending yoga classes that have a segment dedicated to meditation. Definitely excited about this one and can't wait to be more consistent!
Yoga, yoga, yoga!
Didn't do so hot on this goal...I was pretty sick the first half of the month, so I actually did a lot less yoga than I'm used to. But I will definitely get my booty in gear for the month of August.
Spend less on convenience foods.
I was so proud of myself this month. I really cut down on the amount that I spent on fast food! I slipped up and got Starbucks a couple of mornings, but besides that I did awesome. Can't wait to carry this goal into August!
Since I kinda dropped the ball on this one in July, I'm going to really try my hardest to make up for it in August. This is one of my top priorities right now. I feel such a huge difference in my mental status when I do yoga consistently versus when I don't. I'm coming for you yoga studio!
Read/listen to another good book.
The book I read last month (Be A Free Range Human), was one of the most inspirational books that I have ever read.
I'm definitely in the market for another good book this month. If you have any recommendations, definitely leave them in the comments below!
Build my brand.
I'm obviously still starting off on this whole blogging journey, but I'm ready to grow and expand. Blogging can and will lead me to so many amazing opportunities as long as I bust my butt for it! I'm ready to start thinking of ways that I can really launch this platform...A course? Coaching? I'm not sure what exactly it is yet, but I'm going to do something big this month that takes my brand to the next level!
Head somewhere new.
I'm a travel fiend. I'm working towards becoming location independent so that I can do my work from anywhere. This month I want to head to a new destination that I haven't been to before. I've got quite the list going on, but I'm going to have to narrow it down.
We've been thinking of going to Joshua Tree. Since that's relatively close to where we are, that might be our "new spot" this month. Time will tell!
Up my steps.
I bought a Fitbit Alta a couple of months ago and I really love it! The only problem is that it reminds me how much I don't move during the day. Which is incredibly bad for my body at such a young age.
I have my goal set at 8,000 steps a day. Most people aim for 10,000 but I was trying to be the most realistic with my goal. Turns out, I only get about 3,000 a day. What the heck! I'm a sedentary person for sure! I really want to turn this around this month. I'm gonna do some serious baby steps here and shoot for 5,000 steps 4 out of 7 days of the week.
I know that may seem silly, but I do a lot of sitting during the day. Unfortunately my sitting time is also when I'm most productive. My day job is full of sitting and so are my blogging/jewelry side hustles. Bummer.
What goals do you have this month? Did you meet them or will you be moving them into August with me?
