Not too long ago I did a post about 8 Positive Actions That Will Lead To Positive Thinking.
I love sharing these tips with other people because I know how much they help me! After the first post I did about this, I thought of so many more ways that I clear my head and lead my life towards a more positive direction.
Now that we're adults, grounding can be fun. I don't mean go sit in your room and take away all of your electronics. Although, this isn't such a bad idea to clear your mind for a while.
By grounding, I mean go take your shoes off and walk around. On the Earth. Appreciate the ground beneath your feet and the grass between your toes. This might sound crazy, but walking around outside is so good for your soul.
If you're not feeling that, then just go sit somewhere quiet for a while. Connect with yourself and the Earth. Let yourself and your mind be for just a few moments.
I work the stereotypical 9 to 5. So I'm not ashamed to say that the moment I get in my car after my shift ends, the first thing I do is take off the damn shoes that have been making me feel trapped all day long. It is the best feeling in the world to just release and feel free.
This is the tip that I struggle with the most. I am one picky vegetarian, so I rarely go towards the fruits and veg. Sadly, bean burritos just don't make you feel as good as the rabbit food does. I must admit, my body feels great when I eat healthy and am conscious of what I am consuming. My energy levels rise, my brain fog clears and I just genuinely feel like a more positive person.
Surround yourself with nature.
Get outside. Please. So many of us work inside an office or some type of building all day, get into our cars and head home (where we stay inside for even more hours of the day). We need to seriously get out and experience how awesome this planet really is. Go to the park, get in your backyard, just do something to get yourself outside with the birds and the breeze!
Spend less money.
Weird concept, right? Spending less actually does give you a little more positivity. When you spend less, you've got less stuff cluttering your mind like I mentioned in my previous post. But spending less money also gives you more security in your bank account. If you're spending less, you're saving more. And that just makes everyone feel happy!
Listen to music.
Any kind of music will do, but listen to something that you enjoy. That's an instant mood booster for sure! For me, classic rock is my comfort genre. It reminds me of being young and driving around with my mom. A good Janis Joplin or Beatles hit will almost always get me out of a funk!
Speak kind words.
Put kindness into the universe and kindness will be in your mind. Be nice to yourself and to others. Speak positively more than you do negatively and your life will do a complete 180. Obviously we all have negative moments, but if you can get the ratio to mostly being positive - you're on a good road.
It's so important to know yourself well enough to know which positive, healthy habits better your life.
Let me know in the comments below how you stay positive. Do you do any of these techniques? Got any tips that you want me or other people to try? Please share!
