Goals for the Month of September
Lately I've been on a mission to introduce some new healthy habits into my life. I don't want to just limit my healthy habits to strictly my diet and exercise, I would like to introduce habits that will better my mind and my outlook on life. In order to establish these new habits, I think it is very important to set goals for myself.
So without further ado below are my top goals for the month of September!
1. Budget. Budget. BUDGET! I would really like to focus on where my money is going this month. Obviously this should be important every month but you have to start somewhere. I spend way too much money on silly things that I definitely do not need. Fast food, online shopping and unnecessary market trips are going to have to kick rocks in the month of September!
2. Purchase and utilize "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up" by Marie Kondo. I have heard nothing but good things about this book. From what I hear it is just the guide I need while I'm downsizing and decluttering my home. While I feel as though I am doing a pretty good job doing this on my own, it would be very beneficial to have some more tips that I can in turn share with you all!
3. Take a walk at least four times a week. I would like to take at least one 20-40 minute walk a day, but whatever I can get in is an improvement compared to past months. It is so important to get up and get moving. Living in California, the scorching heat can be a major pain when I want to walk in the afternoons but I always feel so happy when it is all said and done!
Like I said, goals are a great way to ease yourself into new habits. Start slow and don't be too hard on yourself if you don't accomplish all of your monthly goals. Just add it to the next month and be proud of what you did do that particular month. What are your goals for September? Did you have any in August?
