November Goals and October Update

Every time I write one of these posts it reminds me of how fast time goes by. I cannot believe it is already November and we only have two more full months left of 2015. But, the holidays are my favorite time of year so I'm definitely excited when this time of year rolls around.

October was a pretty good month for me. I didn't complete all of my goals but it was a vey uplifting month! Let's get on to the goals:

October Goals

Get more exercise.

This goal was a major success this month. Besides the last week of October, I was was walking about four times a week. Some days I was even walking for around an hour, woo woo! The last week I got majorly sick and was walking, but I was still so proud of myself for this. We'll see if it continues into November.

Start a bullet Journal.

I did start working on my journal, so expect to see a post on that coming soon. I'm still trying to decide how I want the layout of my journal to look but I'm definitely excited to have my whole life in one little book.

Post 3 times a week on the blog.

I guess every month I need at least one fail in my goal post. Unfortunately, I am awful with time management. Working full time, being in school and blogging is very hard so I have a hard time finding time to write 3 posts a week. I would really like to start doing this at some point, but I don't want to burn myself out!

So since November has blessed us with its presence, it's time to create some new monthly goals. What are they, you might ask? Well I'll go ahead and tell you!

November Goals

Work on my time management.

Since posting 3 times a week on the blog didn't happen last month, I would like to get to the root of the problem this month. I would really like to focus on how I utilize my time. I need to stop getting side tracked and make sure that every hour has an assignment. I get so frustrated with my days and feel like there just isn't enough time to get things done. Considering that's just life and there are 24 hours in a day. I would like to make sure that every single one of those hours is spent doing something productive. (And yes, sleep is productive!)

Live on a more minimal budget.

A couple months ago, one of my biggest goals was to budget. I have always been good at saving money, but I felt like I could be even better. I proved that to myself and am now able to put about 50% of every paycheck into a savings account. I still have things that I spend money on that I know are not necessities. I want to focus on changing this in November. I plan to cut my monthly fast food bill in half and make a few less trips to the craft stores. This might be a silly goal to have this month considering I usually spend November buying Christmas presents (I like to be prepared) but I have to start focusing on this eventually.

Pick up a side hustle.

This probably sounds so weird to a lot of you considering I have spent the last couple of months talking about budgeting and I was just complaining about the lack of time in a day. One thing I have learned about myself in 2015 is that I am obsessed with putting money into my savings account. It's not just something that makes me a little happy, I seriously have a problem. I have big dreams for my future and unfortunately money makes moves. I know that if I live like a cheap ass now, I'll be extremely happy later. I would really like to add an additional way of putting money into my savings!

I'm a huge fan of goals and I feel like posting them online is a way to hold myself more accountable. I get more done when I share them with you all. Don't wait until New Year's to start making goals for yourself. Set small goals along the way!
