My New Moon Manifesting Ritual
At first glance, the title of this post may sound a little hippy-dippy out there, but just stick with me for a bit!
Within the new-age / spiritual community is this idea that the new moon brings with it a good time to manifest new things into your life. For those of you that don't know, a new moon occurs when the sun and the moon are in perfect alignment. This gives the illusion of there not being a moon at all when the perfect alignment time hits. Shortly after it will appear as the tiniest sliver of crescent moon. This phase occurs every 29.5 days.
Just like the moon is starting it's new phase, you're starting a new phase of your life.
If you're not familiar with manifesting, I have a couple of posts on the topic that you can find below. I'll also share some useful posts that are related in a sense and will help you get the most out of manifesting.

I'm starting to form new rituals or habits for the full and new moons to strengthen my passions and ground myself, so I figured I would share what I've been doing to prepare and appreciate the new moon.
Light some sage.
Sage, palo santo, or even incense. I like to light something like one of these up to clear my space and start setting the intention for what I'm going to start manifesting. Something about waving these little woods or bushels around makes me feel like I'm doing something good for my space and my body.
This may sound corny, but sometimes I even play some music while I'm doing this and dance around while I'm clearing the energy! It makes it a little more fun and less serious. I feel like I serious weirdo sometimes (especially because I can't dance for shit) but the movement really makes me feel more free. Thank god for window covers, am I right?
Meditate.
Normally I am a morning meditator. It just seems to be more effective for me to practice in the mornings rather than at night. When there is a new or full moon, I sometimes make an exception and do a quick meditation in the evening. If I meditate at night, its not as serious as it would be in the mornings. It's normally quick and involves more movement.
After a long day at work, I rarely feel like sitting still and trying my hardest to clear my thoughts. My mind has already been at work all day and isn't ready to settle down yet!
Write it out.
After I feel completely grounded and my mind is at ease, I start writing. I write out exactly what I want to come from this new cycle of the moon. Details are essential. I don't leave anything out here. Most of the time when I start writing, it just starts flowing out. I don't even have to think about what I'm trying to say because my subconscious is making a break through.
I always date my manifestations so that I can look back at them at a later date and see what has happened or what has changed in general. What you want not may not be what you're seeking in the near future!
It's always interesting to see where my priorities were at during these times of manifestation.
Pull tarot.
To end my practice, I like to give my spirit guides an opportunity to send me a message that relates to the manifestation that I just wrote out.
I have gotten really into tarot cards within the last couple of years. I got a reading done in early 2016 and it really awakened my curiosity in cards and spirit guides. The thought that some higher spirit has the ability to speak to you and send you messages through a well designed deck of cards is fascinating to me.
I prefer doing a quick one-card pull, but I've definitely played around with spreads and gotten some very interesting messages that way.
If this seems a little too high on your woo-woo scale, then skip it. I'm just sharing what I like to do and what makes me feel the most grounded. After all, we are talking about cycling our lives around moon phases here. How much more woo-woo can we get?
Relax.
Once this is all said and done, I take it easy. Nights like these are a good time for me to start practicing some self-care habits that I've let fizzle out.
I know this whole thing may sound a little off the wall for some of you, but you should definitely try forming some type of ritual that follows the moon phases. Even if it's just doing some type of self-care on the day of the new moon that you would like to carry on into the remainder of the cycle.
There is so much information about the new moon dates and times. The exact time will be different depending on where you are in the world, so make sure to take some serious advantage of Google and find out when your new moon has the most intense energy.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on manifesting with the moon phases! Be sure to leave me a comment below letting me know how you feel about it and if you've got any rituals of your own!
