The worst way you could possibly feel when you're trying to stay motivated and passionate about life is overwhelmed or burnt out.
This has happened to me a couple of times throughout the years. I start to feel like I have way too much to do and like there is no way I could possibly keep on top of it all.
When you start to feel this way there are a couple things you should probably start doing.
Start prioritizing and planning.
Sounds simple enough, but this is crucial. When thoughts start flooding your brain, it's so important to really make sure you're taking care of what's most important and not forgetting to do things.
The best way I keep track of what I need to be doing is by filling out my Passion Planner. It's my favorite tool right now to make sure I'm accomplishing what needs to be done in a timely manner. I would probably forget a solid 75% of what I have to do if it weren't for this thing.
I've fought my way through planner after planner, but this thing definitely keeps me on track. I'll definitely have to do a review of this thing soon!
Take time for you.
This is another crucial step when the feeling of overwhelm starts to kick in. This is the best time to make sure that you are caring for yourself the way that you need to be. A large amount of people have the same problem - when times get tight and crazy, the first things to go are the things that are important to their well being. (I talk a lot about that in this post right here.)
You cannot give up on yourself in times like these. You really need to stay focused and make sure your body and mind are well taken care of. Take breaks when you need to and don't give up the routines that you have set in place that are most beneficial to your mind and body.
Eat right, exercise as often as you can and really try to reduce your stress levels as much as possible. This sounds disgustingly cliche, but I can definitely tell a difference in my performance when I am not well taken care of. I turn into quite the sluggish little slob!
Do not give up.
Omg it is SO easy to give up in times like these. It would be way easier to just drop everything and say f*** it all. Don't do it - please!
The hard times are when you learn the most valuable lessons and in turn when you gain the most traction. Breaks from the stress are a must, but never view quitting as an option. You can do this, even if it seems impossible. You are the one that needs to keep pushing through and having faith in yourself and the universe. You've got this! Be kind to yourself always.
The overall theme here is taking care of yourself when times get tough and overwhelm kicks in. Clear your mind, take care of your body and really nourish your soul. You are the most important person in your life and you really gotta acknowledge that when you're feeling depleted.
