We all have them - those days were you just want to curl into a ball and give your middle finger to the world. Some of us have them more than others.
Days like these are normal. If life was filled with rainbows and butterflies 24/7 it would be really freaking boring. The bad days are necessary to appreciate the freaking awesome days that follow.
Shifting your mindset on the days that you're feeling down in the dumps can really help you get through them like a champ!
Let's talk sickness.
I hate getting sick. Like, despise it. I can always feel it right before it strikes and I go into full-force, anti-sickness ninja mode to try and prevent the almost always inevitable. I load up on Vitamin C and sleep my life away in hopes of stopping the demon in it's tracks. Most of the time, it's a total fail.
I read something one day in a sick slum, that said sickness is the universe's way of telling you to slow down. *Insert light bulb moment here*
Sickness always strikes me when I'm severely overwhelming myself. It happens when I'm going full speed ahead and forgetting to care for myself. This isn't the universe trying to conspire against me, this is it's way of caring for me. It's letting me know that I've done enough and it's time to take it easy. Take care of myself.
This goes to all of my anti-sickness ninjas - you need to slow down. Obviously getting sick blows, but take advantage of the down time. Thrive in it. It doesn't have to be your breaking point. Care for yourself and fill this time with all the self-love practice that you possibly can.
What ever higher power you believe in is trying to let you know that you're good - you don't need to do any more in this moment. Relax!
Now let's talk bad days.
Much like sickness, bad days are pretty much inevitable. You can't live your life on a rainbow and never expect to frown again.
Most bad days, are actually not bad days. We build them up in our heads and make them seem way more intense than they are. Obviously some days really do suck, and I'm not down playing those days! But most of the time, we create our own bad days by experiencing one bad thing and manifesting more and more and more bad things - a post about manifesting negativity to come!
Bad days are little tests from the universe. They're tests to make sure that your mindfulness and gratitude are still in play. The universe wants to make sure you're still bein' a little wholesome and not getting caught up in an entitled mindset. Stay humble. Always.
Don't view bad days as a big ole ordeal. View them as a test. And you're gonna ace this one! You can come out of every bad day learning a lesson that you can use towards every other day of your life.
Much like sickness, the universe is just trying to speak to you on a different level. Listen carefully.
Unideal things don't have to be viewed from such a negative standpoint. When you twist things and see them as lessons or favors from the universe, they suddenly don't seem so bad at all. Be grateful for the times like these. Without them you wouldn't appreciate the times that you feel incredible. They give the good times meaning and purpose.
